PERRY STREET LOFT
This 3,000sf loft renovation takes its inspiration from the raw structure and extreme transparency of the original, unfinished floor plate. The service spaces have been retained within the core of the apartment, while sliding walls, oversized drapes, and privacy glass create a playful sequence of thresholds between the living spaces. This fluid and dynamic continuum between public and private zones, leading from the transparent perimeter through to the building core, allows for the requisite privacy of a home while also preserving spectacular crosstown and Hudson River views. The design sits lightly within the building, exposing and enhancing the underlying structure.
